Special tongue piercing

A standard tongue piercing normally has a bar with a small ball at both the bottom and a slightly larger screwball at the top. Often the top ball is a fun print or a stone for decoration. You can screw both balls on the bar.  As you can see in the image to the left the screwballs are not at the end of the bar but internal. As a result, the balls at the end of the bar screw can then screw into the bar.

Great, but what are the benefits of this? Initially, there is little difference between an internal or external thread but with an internal thread you can use dermal tops as screwballs for your tongue piercing. Of course, there are many nice screwballs available for the bar, but its not strange if you like the dermal tops so much that you would like to wear them as a tongue piercing.

Not that this will become the new standard, but it could be very convenient to have such a piercing instead of just the traditional tongue piercing. Order a fun new dermal top and it feels like a whole new tongue piercing!
